CREDIT UNION HEADQUARTER
Design Development
This new Credit Union headquarters in Moline is a 92,000 SF office building that embraces its riverside setting, leverages technology and fosters a vibrant workplace. It reflects an employee-centered culture through amenities from fitness area, café, to indoor and outdoor community spaces. Taking a lead in understanding the changing dynamics of the workplace, it incorporates diverse workspaces from individual offices and workstations to a variety of spaces for collaboration with ample daylighting options throughout the facility. A three-story atrium that faces the Mississippi River encourages occupants to take the stairs as passive exercise while enjoying sweeping views of the river valley. The design takes cues from the surrounding eastern Iowa landscape. The lobby at the entrance of the
building overlooks the river and the glass used on the exterior is influenced by the color of the water. The campus features two outdoor balconies and outdoor walking trails with wide vistas of the Mississippi River. A covered fourth-floor patio anchors the east side of the building and overlooks a green space designed for community and credit union events.
